He married Ann Marie Drexler 05 May 1941 in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. Ann Marie Drexler, born 25 January 1922 in Malcolm Township, Cole Harbor, McLean, North Dakota; died 13 June 1995 in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota. She was the daughter of John Drexler and Otillia Neid.
